Jenn Air is best known for their designer kitchens and stunning array of finishes beyond stainless steel. As far as Outdoor cooking their also have a range of BBQ Grills for sale around the thousand dollar range. With so many other big players on the grill market, like Char Broil and Weber, why would you want to buy a Jenn Air?
Why Buy A Jenn Air Gas Grill?
I’m not going to wait to the last paragraph to let you know what I really think. I’m sure if this is the right grill for you, then you’ll be happy to read the rest (be sure to read the consumer reviews at the end). Because Jenn Air Gas Grills are not for everyone. If you want a commercial grade stainless steel Gas Grill with all the bells and whistles, but don’t want to pay 2 grand, the Jenn Air is the perfect match. You will get a grill that looks like a million bugs and offers a lot of value for the money, but only if you really want all the extra features.
IMHO there is only one of the Jenn Air Outdoor Gas Grills worth considering. It’s is the flagship model 720-0709 going for around $950 – 1150. This model gets by far the best reviews and has all the features you can dream of. In fact ConsumerReports.org has it as their HIGEST rated large gas grill, with a score of 78 out of a 100. outperforming models like the Weber Summit S-650 that cost twice as much. It performs well at all temperatures but is exceptionally good at high temperature.
With this grill you will be serving BBQ for the whole crew. If you are not willing to shell out the last couple of hundreds to get the top-model, then you are better of going with other brands. Because that is what makes this grill stand out – all the nice extra features.

Jenn Air® Outdoor Gas Grills
What is inside the box?
This grill has everything: 5 burners, Infrared sear and rotisserie burner, slide out tank holder, storage drawers with inside light, backlight display, cover… The works.
The grill is VERY heavy and solid build, and it comes assembled except for the sidepieces. So if you pick this up from the store you better bring at truck or a trailer, don’t think you can fit it into a SUV.
The grill is NOT manufactured by Jenn Air but is actually build on a license from a chinese company called “Nexgrill”. This company also builds grills for Sears, Target, Costco and Charbroil retailers. The licensing to a Chinese company has been a concern for some people. Mostly because they feared they would not be able to get replacement Jenn Air Grill Parts. I really wouldn’t worry about this as there is a lifetime warranty on the burners, and if everything else fails there are several online providers of replacement grill parts for this and other Jenn Air models.
I would definitely have this grill sitting on my own porch and consider it a very nice competitor to the more established grill brads. It all b(r)oils down to what your needs are. So before you jump ahead and buy this grill, really think through your options. After the specs you’ll find some of the positive reviews for this product. You CAN find people talking less enthusiastic about Jenn Air as a grill manufacturer, but it is either about other (and not as well build) models or it is people who plain and simple bought the wrong grill for thier needs. It is like complaining about mileage after buing a Lamborghini. Hey… if thats is your problem, you should have gotten the Toyota Prius and not a big flashy fuel sucking beast.

Consumer reviews:
This grill has everything you could possibly want. Drawers for storage, lights, slide out tank holder, conversion kit included, electric ignition, 5 burners, sear burner, rotisserie burner, cover, you name it. And it looks great too.
There are only two issues with this grill and both are minor. The condiment rack that fits on the door for the propane tank will not allow the door to close if you have a tank inside. No big deal. I don’t plan on using the rack anyway. The only other thing is that I want the rotisserie for this grill but Sam’s Club is out of stock and has been for the last several weeks, I can always buy a universal kit, but I kinda wanted it all to match. But that’s just me.
Buy this grill! You won’t be disappointed. I use mine almost daily.

This unit replaces my old Jenn-Air which I had for about 5 years until a grease fire from the drip pan toasted the electrical panel. No fault of the grill, just be sure to routinely clean out your drip pan and replace the burners if worn. The new grill has a lot of nice features but one thing I noticed is that it’s not 100% stainless steel like my old grill so I’m hoping that the painted steel panels, etc. will last as long as my other one… that’s why I didn’t give it 5 stars. All in all I still think it’s the best buy on the market and Consumer Reports gives it top ranking just as they did five years ago. Just be ready to spend some time converting it to NG and pray that the painted panels will last as long as the stainless steel..Quality:Value:Pros: qualityCons: converting to ng not for the weal heartedGender: MaleAge: 45-54Owned product: under 1 monthUses product: Every weekWould you recommend this product to a friend?
